The staff at your favorite community of West Bellfort apartments is here to help you get organized this year. Whether it was your new year's resolution or not, getting organized is always a good idea. We’re talking about organizing your apartment, your life and your schedule so that everything is more clear and defines. Do you ever double book yourself? Do you ever lose things that you swear you just had? If you answered yes to either of those questions, this is the blog for you. Remember, these tips only work if you put them to use!

Take a look at some of our pieces of advice below, and remember to share this post with your friends and neighbors at your community of Fort Bend apartments! You never know which friends might be struggling to stay organized, and you could be the one to help them out!

Tip #1 — Invest in more clear storage containers

Here’s the obvious, yet often overlooked difference between clear storage containers and opaque ones: with clear containers, you can actually see the item that you want to take out of storage. Seems like a no-brainer to buy clear storage, right? Unfortunately, many people are still stuck with opaque containers. Don’t be one of those people.

Tip #2 — Make use of the backs of your doors and cabinets

The backs of doors and cabinets are perfect for storage, but very few people take advantage of this space. The backs of your cupboard doors, for instance, are perfect for storing cutting boards and the lids for pots and pans. You just have to invest in some wire racks. The backs of your doors are perfect for storing shoes using one of these things, or for storing things that can hang on hooks like hats, towels and bathrobes. Also, if you’re not using bathrobes, it’s high time you start.

Tip #3 — Put a calendar on your wall

Think back to the house you grew up in. It had a calendar hanging somewhere, didn’t it? Wall calendars might seem a bit outdated in today’s day and age, but they’re still as useful as ever. There’s something about having a calendar at eye level that reminds you to stay organized. If you tie a pen to a string and hang it next to the calendar, you’ll be more likely to write down appointments, meetings and everything else going on in your life that you need to keep track of. Give it a shot this year, residents!

Tip #4 — Use an app like Momentum

Although it has nothing to do with your apartment, this Chrome extension will help you organize your life. Momentum will periodically remind you of your main goal for the day, and it’ll keep you on track when you start to get distracted. The app will ask you what you want to get accomplished each day, and you might find that it really helps to talk about what you have to get done.
